Professional Experience

Currently Sole Member-Manager of Thomason Financial Services, LLC.

1997-2006 Owner/ President of Lawrence Industries, LLC, manufacturer of rubber and plastic hose products. Sold company in August, 1999 and employed by Novaflex Hose Inc. (new owners of the operations) as General Manager, Controller and CFO until August, 2006. Involved in all aspects of running 100 employee operation in NC, as well as responsibilities for Administration and Financial matters of 3 additional US affiliated companies.

Duties included business acquisitions; real estate acquisitions, sales, and lease management; all business and benefit insurance negotiations; DOL, INS and other governmental audit negotiations; environmental remediation activity coordination; local computer network management for 25 users; implemented and trained staff in Visual Manufacturing enterprise software serving 14 North American locations; human resource management; established internal accounting procedures and controls. Developed extensive financial reporting systems in Microsoft Excel and Access.

1991-1997 Self employed sole practitioner CPA, specializing in tax planning and compliance for owners, entrepreneurs and their businesses. Client base included 70 individuals and 20 business or investment entities. Advised on general business operations, including business acquisition and divestiture transactions.

1981-1991 Employed by Price Waterhouse - Hartford, CT office (to 1983), then Richmond, VA office. Functioned as senior tax manager 1989-1991. Client base consisted primarily of individuals and their closely held businesses, ranging from single location service providers to an affiliated group of manufacturing, leasing and retail companies operating in 14 countries.
